Before applying for the Labour Card scholarship, it is important to be familiar with the eligibility criteria, which are outlined as follows:
- Parent’s Employment: The student’s parents must be employed full-time in Beedi, Iron Ore Manganese & Chrome Mines, Limestone & Dolomite Mines, or Cine, with a minimum of six months of continuous employment. Contract/Ghar Khata (Home Based) workers are also eligible.
- Educational Institute: The Educational Institute must be a Government/Government Recognized Institute.
- Course Type: Scholars enrolled in correspondence courses are not eligible.
- Other Scholarships: Candidates receiving scholarships or stipends from any other source will not be eligible under this scheme.
- Bank Account: The applicant should have a separate bank account. In the case of a Joint Account, the first name should be that of the Scholar. If more than one child of the same worker is applying, each child should provide a separate bank account number.

- Now click on the “CLICK HERE TO VIEW EDUCATION ASSISTANCE STATUS” link.
- Then you need to enter the “Reference Number” provided during the application process.
- Now click on the “Check” button after entering the reference number.
- Then check the message displayed. If the payment has been processed, it will show “Payment has been processed for this application waiting for response.”

- Now you need to enter your email ID, mobile number, select the verification method (mobile/email), create a password, and confirm the password.
- Then you have to solve the captcha and click on “Register“.
- Now you will receive a 6-digit OTP on your registered mobile number.
- Then enter the OTP and submit to complete the registration process.

- First of all, you need to visit the official website of KLWB (Karnataka Labour Welfare Board) for education assistance.
- Now you have to register on the portal by entering your mobile number, selecting ‘Mobile Verification’ as the verification method, creating a new password, and clicking the ‘REGISTER’ button.
- Then enter the OTP received on your mobile and click ‘SUBMIT’.
