FAEA Scholarship 2024

The FAEA Scholarship is provided by the Foundation for Academic Excellence and Access (FAEA) to help financially by giving scholarships to students who are bright in academics but belong to a financially weaker background. Under this scholarship, the full course fees will be paid along with other benefits such as maintenance allowance, other allowances such as clothing, books & travel, and hostel/mess charges.

The FAEA Scholarship is open to those students who have passed class 12th or are in the first year of undergraduate in the following courses:

FAEA Scholarship Eligibility Criteria

• The applicant must Have completed Class 12 from a recognized board in India OR
• Be a first-year undergraduate student enrolled in a program at a recognized university, institution, or college in India, in fields such as Arts, Commerce, Science, Medical, Engineering, or other technical or professional disciplines.
• It belongs to socially and economically disadvantaged sections, including Scheduled Caste (SC), Scheduled Tribe (ST), Other Backward Classes (OBC), and Below Poverty Line (BPL) categories.

Note:

• Students whose Class 12 results have not been declared can apply after the results are officially announced.
• General category students can apply for need-based financial grants with a merit component. They must have either scored above 90% in their Higher Secondary Exam or secured admission to a top-ranked Institution of Excellence in India.

FAEA Scholarship Benefits

• A total of 50 students will selected for the FAEA Scholarship to complete their undergraduate.
• The selected candidates will get a scholarship not only for the course fees but also for the maintenance allowance, allowance for travel, clothing & book purchases, and hostel or mess charges.

Withdrawal of Awards

The FAEA Scholarship awards may be revoked or terminated under certain conditions, including but not limited to:

• Unsatisfactory Academic Progress: If a scholar does not maintain the required academic standards, their scholarship may be withdrawn.
• Medical Condition: If a scholar experiences a physical or mental illness that impedes their ability to continue their studies, the scholarship may be withdrawn.
• False Declaration: If false declarations or misrepresentations are discovered during the scholarship period, the award will be revoked or terminated.

FAEA Scholarship Documents Required

The documents required for the FAEA Scholarship are Academic transcripts, including mark sheets and certificates.

FAEA Scholarship Apply Online

• First of all, visit the official FAEA website.
• Now you have to click on ‘Register Online for FAEA Scholarship‘.
• Then you need to select the “Fresh Candidate” option to register.
• After registering, you can use your login information to log in.
• Now you have to complete the application form and upload all required documents.
• Now save the completed application information for future reference.

FAEA Scholarship Selection Criteria

• The final applications of the candidates are reviewed and assessed by a regional panel consisting of scholars, academics, and practitioners from NGOs and other fields.
• Shortlisted candidates will receive email invitations for regional interviews, which will be conducted in major cities across India, closest to the applicant’s residence.
• The final selection will be conducted by a national panel, and the results will be announced thereafter. Support is contingent upon the candidate’s acceptance by the host institution.
• All applicants’ applications must be submitted exclusively to the FAEA office in New Delhi. The level and duration of the award will be determined during the placement process.
• Decisions made by both the regional and national panels are final. Any attempt to influence these decisions will result in disqualification of the applicant.
• FAEA staff and their immediate family members are ineligible to serve on selection panels or apply for the Scholarship Program. Similarly, members of selection committees, staff from program-managing organizations in different regions, and their families are not eligible for financial assistance under the Pathways Program.
• Applications received after the deadline will not be considered.

FAEA Scholarship Status

• First of all, visit the official FAEA Scholarship website.
• Now the homepage will be displayed on your screen.
• Then you have to click on the “Track Status” tab.
• A new page will open, asking you to enter your application number.
• The status of your application will then be shown on your screen.

FAEA Scholarship Renewal

• First, go to the official website.
• When the homepage opens, you must select the “Renewal of Scholarship” option.
• The renewal application form will appear on your computer screen.
• Now complete the form to renew your faea scholarship according to the requirements.

FAEA Scholarship Terms and Conditions

• Incomplete applications of the applicants or those received after the deadline will not be considered.
• Final awards are at the sole discretion of the FAEA scholarship management and may cover the full cost of the proposed study plans for up to five years.
• The scholarship program initially supports selected students for up to three years. This support may be extended for an additional two years for postgraduate studies, contingent upon the student’s performance in graduate exams and funding availability.
• FAEA Scholarship recipients are expected to excel in their studies and demonstrate success in their coursework.
• Official academic results from the host university, institution, or college must be submitted to the FAEA office annually and additionally, fellows are required to submit periodic progress reports.

Important Instructions For FAEA Scholarship

• Confirmation Code: After successfully submitting the online application, applicants will receive a 9-digit auto-generated “Confirmation Code“. Keep this code safe for any future correspondence with FAEA.

• Document Submission: Do not send any documents or certificates at the initial stage of the application process. If shortlisted in the preliminary selection round, you will be notified to attend an interview, during which you must bring your original documents. Failure to present these documents will result in disqualification.
• Completeness of Application: Ensure your application form is fully completed. Incomplete applications will not be considered.
• Contact Information: For clarification regarding the online application, email inquiry@faeaindia.org. Other forms of communication, including telephone calls, conventional mail, or fax, will not be entertained.
• References: Choose at least one reference from the two provided options:
  • Someone who knows you well and has had the opportunity to observe and evaluate your work skills and academic abilities.
  • One of the referees should be from a formal academic institution.
  • If shortlisted for an interview, FAEA will contact your referees directly.

FAEA Scholarship 2024: Policy Guidelines

• Study Location: The scholarship program allows scholars to pursue their educational goals at any recognized university, institution, or college in India that aligns with their academic objectives.
• Duration and Renewal: Scholarships can extend up to a maximum of 5 years and require annual renewal, subject to the scholar’s academic progress and the availability of funds from FAEA. Scholars must be enrolled full-time in a formal degree program.
• Deferment: Deferments (temporary postponements) may be granted once to the applicants for a maximum period of 1 year. Requests for deferment should be directed to the FAEA office in New Delhi, supported by relevant documentation or evidence. Deferments are considered in cases of personal emergencies, such as severe illness in the scholar’s immediate family or adverse circumstances in their home state.
• Funds Disbursement: Funds will be disbursed directly to scholars, except for tuition, hostel, and related fees, which will be paid directly to the educational institution. Scholars are encouraged to utilize on-campus housing and dining facilities.
• Award Amount: The award amount will be determined by FAEA according to budgetary guidelines. FAEA retains the final decision and may cover the entire cost of education for up to 5 years.
• Travel Assistance: Candidates attending interviews will receive second-class travel support for one round trip to the interview location and return to their home city or village. Female candidates will also be reimbursed for one accompanying person.
