NSP Scholarship 2024 also known as the National Scholarship Portal was started under the Mission Mode Project under National E-governance Plan (NeGP). It is an online platform to provide scholarships to meritorious students that are offered by the central and state governments and other government agencies such as the University Grants Commission (UGC). The last date to apply for the NSP Scholarship is 15 January 2024.

The National Scholarship Portal was started by the government under the National E-Governance Plan to provide a single online platform to provide scholarships to students who are good at their academics. This scholarship portal offers a wide range of scholarships provided by the central government, state government, and various other government agencies.
NSP Scholarship Objectives
The main objective of the NSP Scholarship is to provide a SMART (Simplified, Mission-oriented, Accountable, Responsive, & Transparent) system so that it can provide the scholarship in a fast, efficient, and effective manner. The other feature of the National Scholarship Portal is that it helps to reduce duplicity and helps to transfer the scholarship through the direct bank transfer (DBT) feature.

The list of required documents for NSP Scholarship 2024 are as follows:
- The Aadhaar Card of the student
- Bank Passbook of the student

How to Apply For NSP Scholarship 2024?
To apply for a scholarship through the National Scholarship Portal (NSP), you need to follow these steps:
- Searching for the Institute
- First of all, visit the home page of the portal.
- Now you have to click on the ‘Search for Institute‘ button.
- Then you have to fill in the required details to get the institution list.
- If your institution is not registered, request them to register on the portal.
- Registering with the National Scholarship Portal (NSP)
- Now visit the Home Page of the National Scholarship Portal for registration.
- Then click on ‘New Registration‘ and read the Guidelines for Registration carefully.
- Now you have to click ‘Continue‘ and fill in all required details.
- Then you have to click ‘Register‘ to receive a student application ID and password on your registered mobile number.
- Logging in with the National Scholarship Portal
- Now use the login button and enter your application ID and password.
- Change the password (A mandatory step)
- After successful login, then verify the OTP sent to your registered mobile number.
- Change your password as directed.
- Enter the Dashboard
- After changing the password, you will enter the Applicant’s Dashboard Page.
- Now click on ‘Application Form’ to start the application process.
- Then fill in all required details, academic information, and basic information.
- Add contact details, and scheme details, and upload the necessary documents.
- Now click ‘Save as Draft‘ to confirm the correctness of your information.
- Once confirmed, click on ‘Final Submit’.
NOTE: Keep in mind that once you submit the application, you cannot edit it again, so ensure all information is accurate before final submission.
How do I apply for the NSP Scholarship via mobile?
To apply for the NSP Scholarship via Mobile, applicants can follow these steps:
- First of all, downloading and installing the NSP Mobile App. Alternatively, if you already have the ‘UMANG’ app installed, then you can access NSP services through it.
- After registration, you will gain access to various services provided by the National Scholarship Portal.
- Now you have to navigate through the app to explore the different scholarships available.
- Then you have to choose the scholarship you wish to apply for from the options available.
- Now sincerely follow the instructions provided for the selected scholarship.
- Then you have to fill in all the required details accurately and upload the necessary documents following the guidelines.
- Make sure to Double-check all the information entered for accuracy then click on the ‘Submit‘ or ‘Apply‘ button to submit your scholarship application.

To check your NSP Scholarship Status 2024, follow these steps on the official website https://scholarships.gov.in/:
- First of all, visit the NSP Scholarship official website.
- Now, you have to Click on the option to check the NSP Scholarship Status 2024.
- Then you have to provide your Application Number and Date of Birth, then click on the Submit button.
- After all the above steps you can now see your application status or payment status.

Types of NSP Scholarship
The different types of NSP Scholarship are:
- Pre & Post Matric Scholarship: This type of scholarship is generally for the students who are studying in below class 10th and above class 10th that is classes 11 and 12.
- Undergraduate Scholarship: This type of scholarship is for those students who are in their bachelor’s course or planning to do a UG course.
- Post Graduate Scholarship: This type of scholarship is available to students who are pursuing master’s courses.
- PhD Scholarship: This scholarship is available to students who are studying doctoral studies.

Can I apply for two NSP scholarships?
No, you can not apply for two government scholarships under the National Scholarship Portal because to apply for this scholarship NSP ID is required for applying for SSP also, and students who are not covered under NSP will be covered under SSP.
