MPTAAS Scholarship also known as the Madhya Pradesh Tribal Area Allotment Scholarship is an initiative by the Madhya Pradesh Government Tribal Affairs Department to help students financially through this programme. The last date to apply for the MPTAAS Scholarship is 31 March 2024.

MPTAAS Scholarship 2024

MPTAAS Scholarship was launched by the Tribal affairs Department of the Madya Pradesh government. Initially, MPTAAS Scholarship 2024 provided monetary aid to the students of Schedule Tribes and Schedule Caste (SC) but now it also includes Other Backward Classes (OBC). Under this scholarship, the tuition fees, exam fees, and other costs will be covered. The students who have successfully passed the 10th grade (Pre Matric) and are in Post Matric Grade (11th) can apply for this scholarship. The amount given under the MPTAAS scholarship will vary according to the courses selected by the shortlisted student. The amount description according to the course for this scholarship is given below in this article.

MPTAAS Scholarship Eligibility

To be eligible for the MPTAAS scholarship, applicants must fulfill the following criteria:

• Residency: The applicant must be an Indian citizen and a resident of Madhya Pradesh.
• Educational Enrollment: The applicant must be enrolled in classes 11th or 12th, or pursuing undergraduate, graduate, postgraduate, diploma, or Ph.D. programs.
• Category Requirement: The applicant must belong to either the Scheduled Caste (SC) or Scheduled Tribe (ST) category.
• Family Income: The annual family income should not exceed 6 lakh rupees.
• Government Employment Restriction: The applicant’s family members must not be employed by the government in any capacity.
• Bank Account: The applicant must have an Aadhaar-authenticated bank account in their name.
• Beneficiary Profile: The applicant must have a beneficiary profile on the MPTAAS portal.

MPTAAS Scholarship Benefits

• The MPTAAS Scholarship is given to students who belong to the SC, ST & OBC communities.
• Candidates who are in 11th grade, Undergraduate, or post-graduate level can benefit from the MPTAAS Scholarship.
• The scholarship amount under the MPTAAS scholarship will be transferred to the bank accounts directly and no mediator is involved.
• The students can avail of the other scholarships from the same website from which they apply for the MPTAAS Scholarship.

MPTAAS Scholarship Amount

The MPTAAS Scholarship amount given to the students ranges from INR 230 to INR 1500 former for class 11 & 12 students who are day scholars while the latter for the Engineering, Medical, PhD, and MPhil students who are hostellers. MPTAAS Scholarship Documents Required

To apply for the MPTAAS Scholarship applicants are required to upload scanned copies of the following documents:

• Caste certificate issued by the authorized authority.
• Income Certificate.
• Residence Proof.
• Domicile Certificate.
• Mark Sheets for all preceding qualifying examinations.
• Certificates of diplomas and degrees (10 and 10+2 or any other if applicable).
• Aadhar Card.
• Bank Passbook.
• Printout of the Application Form.
• Student Photo.

To apply for the MPTAAS Scholarship, candidates have to follow these steps:

• First of all, you have to visit the MPTAAS website.

• Now you need to enter your user ID and password to log in.
• Then from the dashboard, you need to select the PMS option.
• Now you have to click on “Apply Application”.
• Then enter details such as admission year, course year, type of application, university state, district, college name, admission date, and admission number.
• Now you need to provide the details of your income certificate and the issue date. and then Click “Save and Next”.
• Now you can check your application for accuracy before submission. If everything is correct then click “Submit”.
• Then go back to the dashboard and select “Application Details” from the PMS menu.
• Now on the application details page, you can review your application and then click “Print Application”.

How to Check MPTAAS Scholarship Status Online

• First of all, visit the MPTAAS website at https://www.tribal.mp.gov.in/mptaas.
• Now you need to click on “Track application status”.
• Now on the new page, enter your application ID and the academic year.
• Then you have to Click “Submit”.
• Now your scholarship application status will be displayed on your computer screen.

MPTAAS Scholarship Selection Criteria

The selection process for the MPTAAS Scholarship is as follows:

• Eligibility Verification: Applicants must have secured admission in classes 11th or 12th, or be enrolled in a graduate or postgraduate degree/diploma program from a recognized institution.
• Application Review: All applications are processed by the nodal or regulatory institution.
• Document Scrutiny: Officials review the eligibility criteria and verify the required documents to finalize the acceptance of applicants.

MPTAAS Scholarship Login

To log in and complete the application process for the MPTAAS Scholarship, candidates can follow these steps:

• First of all, visit the MPTAAS portal.
• Now log in using your user ID and password.
• Then once logged in, you have to select the PMS option from the dashboard.
• Choose the “Apply Application” option.

MPTAAS Scholarship KYC Update

To update your KYC (Know Your Customer) information for the MPTAAS Scholarship, candidates have to follow these steps:

• First of all, visit the MPTAAS portal and navigate to the login page.
• Now you have to Log in with your user ID and password.
• Then on the next page, you have to enter your Aadhaar card or virtual ID number.
• Now you need to choose one of the two options to update eKYC: OTP or biometrics.
• Then If updating via OTP, you need to click on “Get OTP”. An OTP will be sent to the mobile number linked to your Aadhaar card.
• Now you have to enter the received OTP and submit. Then your KYC will get updated.

MPTAAS Scholarship Grievances Filing

To file any grievances or issues on the MPTAAS Scholarship, candidates have to follow the steps given below:

• First of all, visit the official website of the Tribal Affairs and Scheduled Castes Welfare Department.
• Now you need to select “File a Complaint” under the Grievance option on the homepage.
• Then a new page will open displaying a registration form on your computer screen.
• Now you have to enter your information in the registration form.
• Now you have to Click the submit button to post your grievance.

To check the MPTAAS Scholarship Grievances Status after submitting the issue, candidates have to follow the steps given below:

• First, visit the official website of the Tribal Affairs and Scheduled Castes Welfare Department.
• Now on the homepage, you have to select “Track Grievance” under the Grievance option.
• Then a new page will open, displaying a form for applying on your computer screen.
• Now you need to enter your application number into the form.
• Then you have to click the “Track” button.
• The status of your grievance will be displayed on the computer screen.
